I have some exciting news...it is a new week! Oh and I am back to blogging! PS: did you all see the new changes to IAP? I am absolutely loving my new look and the new services I offer (take a peek by scrolling over Meet Ashley). The blog makeover is not 100% complete, but I just couldn't leave you all hanging without a new post for another minute! For those of you who follow me on social media, you know I have had a rough time recently and that is why I have not been blogging...I was diagnosed with type one diabetes and took some time off to spend with my family and dear friends as I adjusted to my new lifestyle. There are so many people with type one diabetes and other autoimmune diseases so I will be sharing my story and lifestyle changes on the blog. Just think about it as my diabetic diary...I will be sharing my personal experiences, healthy foods and workouts, and hopefully inspiring you along the way! What are you interested in seeing first? Let me know in the comments below!

Today's post is a fun one because I am not only sharing some outfit inspiration, but also a hidden gem in Miami. I am definitely feeling the blues. My mom's favorite color is blue, so naturally I grew up loving the color blue. In fact, the blue wrap (I linked similar ones I also love) I am wearing I borrowed from my mom's closet, haha! My mom and I tend to share a lot, especially when it comes to accessories. I actually purchased the blue Taudrey horseshoe bracelet for my mom's birthday and love to borrow them. They are a fun accessory to brighten any outfit you have.

Now onto my fun find today...for those of you in the Kendall area you probably are familiar with Town and Country. Town and Country has a "little piece of Paris" in it--its own Love Lock bridge! While I don't live in Kendall, I am familiar with Town and Country because they have a Nordstrom Rack there and a just opened Forever 21 Red (which is like an even more discounted Forever 21) and never knew about this bridge!!! It shares the same concept with the now taken down Love Lock Bridge in Paris, France...you come with your loved one(s) and leave a lock marked with your names and/or significant date (i.e. anniversary) on the bridge. I find this place to be such a cute place in Miami that is hidden. I asked my family and friends after discovering it if they knew about it and only one or two did. It is such a gem! Hint to all guys out there, take your ladies and you will get brownie points, haha!

Are you all feeling the blues? Oh and how many of you already knew about this Miami gem? Share with me in the comments below. Have a fabulous week and thank you for reading the blog lovelies! XO

ShopBop.com is a fabulous site that offers a one-stop shop for women to purchase almost any style items. I love that ShopBop has some of my favorite brands like Rebecca Minkoff and Kate Spade. They are currently having one of the biggest sales of the year...their spring sale! I have split up this post into three categories: clothes, shoes, and accessories. I have chosen some fabulous picks for spring. First off I want to introduce these wide-legged pants that are show-stoppers. These pants are perfect for the working gal or any formal event you have this season. The second item I am OBSESSED with is this tassel dress. Those of you who follow me on Instagram and keep up with my blog posts here know that I am tassel-obsessed! This dress is light, flirty is ideal for the spring time. What item here do you want to add to your closet?
Picture
Shoes-day Tuesday! Every girl loves adding to her shoe closet (thanks SJP!) I am loving these studded espadrilles by Rebecca Minkoff. I love their coral color and the studs make them edgy! The second pair I adore are these blush Splendid espadrilles. They are on the top of my spring wish list! Not to mention, espadrilles are the it-shoe this spring. The third pair of shoes are perfect for the girl with some spice!
Picture
What girl doesn't love a good accessory? I am sharing today some fabulous accessories for spring! First item of business, this fringe purse by Rebecca Minkoff. This purse has me all heart eyes. This purse is ideal for spring and summer and is a fun piece for any closet! I also love this Madewell circle, fringe necklace. I actually styled this piece at the Madewell Blogger Brunch a few months ago (ICYMI, check it out here). It is a staple item for any gal! The final item, I will be raving about is this tassel scarf. It is a sweet yet fun accessory for spring. Plus, it comes in different colors!

My February Wish List 2016

2/29/2016

Picture
Hello readers! I am so sorry I have been MIA the past two days. I have not been able to have pictures done this week because besides it being a chaotic week, I also have crazy back pain. )-: I am excited to share with you all my February wish list. With February being a month away, I wanted to share some fun items I adore. For the ladies out there, you should totally snap a picture or share the link to this post for your man if you know he is having a bit of trouble shopping for the perfect gift for you this Valentine's Day.

The first item I am crushing over is this tassel purse by Rebecca Minkoff. It is my two favorite things: tassels and Rebecca Minkoff. I like the purse in the camel color better, personally, but this red version is totally growing on me. Another favorite of mine has to be these fun fringe heels by Ivanka Trump. They are the perfect pair for a V-Day date that will be an adventure. If you are more interested in some baubles then you have to check out both these pieces from BaubleBar. I adore these earrings because they are an elegant touch to any look and the necklace is lots of fun!

Those of you who know me, know I am the biggest fan Peace Love World. I adore this Peace Love World pink, long-sleeve because it is super soft and comfy! Not to mention it is perfect for the weekends, haha! Turning back to the bags, I love this pretty pink envelope clutch by Rebecca Minkoff. It is edgy and perfect for a night on the town. Oh and it is my favorite brand--Rebecca Minkoff!

What are you craving this February? Let me know what you want this month of love! Thanks for coming by the blog today. XO

Happy Hump Day readers! I am so sorry this blog post is coming to you in the evening and not during the morning like usual. I had to catch up the blog and schoolwork. But I am back and happy to be sharing one of the Valentine looks I have put together.

Cupid is feeling causal this Valentine's day. I am not a huge fan of red but I adore these red harem pants from Tommy Hilfiger. They part of a gift to me last Valentine's day from my parents. I am loving the harem pant trend because they are loose and comfy. Since mine are sold out I listed two other pairs of red harlem pant you all will adore. I also linked some similar black tops for you to pair. As you all know, I love my TAudrey trio, but what I really love is how versatile it is! I took out the initial bracelet and just left the two tassel bracelets for a simpler arm party. Nothing wins my heart over more than tassels!

I hope you all are getting in the spirit of love! Thank you for coming by the blog this evening. I hope you all have an amazing second half of you week! XO

Gal-Entine's Day

1/26/2016

Picture
Looking at the calendar yesterday, I realized that Valentine's Day is only a few weeks away. While I have not always been a fan of the cupid-themed holiday, I do love the true meaning behind Valentine's day: L-O-V-E. Against popular belief, Valentine's day is not just a day for lovers, but also a day for besties. It is like the quote from Sex and the City says: “We made a deal ages ago… men, babies, it doesn’t matter. We’re soulmates.” Your first soul mate(s) in life are your BFF. So why not treat her to some lovely goodies this Valentine's Day? I have hand-picked some of the chicest gifts to spoil your girls with this February 14th.

One of my absolute favorites on this gift guide is this Rebecca Minkoff x REVOLVE edition purse. Besides it having one of my all time favorite metals, rose gold, it is the perfect touch to any outfit. The second purse on this guide happens to be Rebecca Minkoff as well, and it is HOT! This red, quilted handbag has a classy, modern look. Looking to buy another kind of bag for your sporty friend? This Kate Spade reusable bag is perfect as a gym bag. Plus, it is super cute!

If your friend likes a personal touch to her gifts, get her this monogram acrylic keychain by BaubleBar. Besides it being electric and fun, it is also a one-of-a-kind, personalized gift. I also love this sleeping mask/gel mask by Henri Bendel. It is perfect for your girl friend that goes all day long and deserves a little TLC. Another item that is perfect to treat your friend is this yummy-smelling vanilla candle. Because let's face it what girl does not love a candle?

So what item on the list will you be treating you girl friends (or even yourself) to this V-Day? You can shop my Galentine's Day guide below in 'SHOP THE POST'. Have a happy Tuesday loves! Thank you for coming by the blog today and reading. I hit 800 followers on Instagram and want to get to 1K by Valentine's Day--so make sure you go and follow now and thank you to all my lovelies who are already following! XO

Happy Thursday! I have to admit I am kinda loving this cold weather Miami has to offer. My friends from up north are totally making fun of me because I am wearing the same warm clothing as them and it is under 20 degrees there and only 50 here, haha! But hey if a girl is cold, she is cold! I wanted to share this go-to look of mine today for when the weather isn't always sunny in Miami.

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you know I have been living in my Articles of Society dark wash jeans. I love skinny jeans and these are no exception, on top of being super comfy, they also match with almost anything. I paired the look with a black tank under and jean button-down on top so I don't freeze. I also topped it off with this amazing scarf I got last Black Friday for my trip to Washington DC. It is super soft and keeps my neck warm from the cold wind. And of course, Tory Burch flats never need a reason to be worn! I love my black ones!

I also love my TAudrey trio. I love that it incorporates my favorite colors and it the perfect neutral set to wear almost every day. The white beads are stunning and they have a marble-esque look to them which is really beautiful. I'm currently figuring out what trio I want next..Hmm. Maybe for Valentine's Day?

I hope you all stay warm today! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. Oh and by the way, tomorrow is FRIYAY! Woohoo!! XO

Happy Hump Day! I got this gorgeous Kipling bag to act as my school bag for Christmas. I absolutely love it! It has so many compartments and holds so much so it is perfect for me. I tend to carry a lot while in school my wallet, pencil pouch, etc. so it is important for me to have a sturdy, good-sized bag to get me through the day. My favorite feature about this bag is that it has two straps, a long shoulder strap as well as purse straps. Another feature I love about my Kipling is that it is neutral colors: black straps on a beige body. I love that it is neutral because it matches to any outfit I choose to wear to my classes.

Another Christmas gift I adore is my Rebecca Minkoff pouch. I am obsessed! I love that it has an 'S' for my last name and that it is the perfect size. When I went to Disney Springs (AKA Downtown Disney) I used it as a clutch at night, but normally I keep my necessities in it like gum, a backup charger, etc. and toss it in whatever purse I am using. It is the perfect place to store the items you'll need throughout the day without having to dig in your bag. The leather is super soft too, which I adore! Both of these items help me stay chic and organized during classes!

For my look I paired my grey Socialite racerback dress with my oldie, but goodie jean button down shirt. I love this combo because it is a cute look for school that is still comfortable. Seriously, there is nothing more important to a college student than be comfortable! Trust me! I also paired my latest obsession these sneakers from 14th and Union that I found at Nordstrom Rack (aka Heaven!) I was really into this high-top sneaker trend, but wanted a pair that was neutral and that I can dress up a bit or keep it casual--these were the perfect pair!

By the way, a lot of my Miami readers/friends have been asking what is the "cool gym I go to" and it is called Sensory. If you live in the Pinecrest/Falls/Palmetto Bay area, this is one gym you need to try. I love it!! (I know shocker- I actually like working out now thanks to Sensory!) There is no harm in trying it because your first class is complimentary! Ever since I was diagnosed with PCOS, diet and exercise have been very important to me. Thanks to Sensory I have found a way to workout consistently and with a smile on my face.

Thank you as always for stopping by the blog. Make sure if you are not subscribed that you do so you don't miss out on anything! Also make sure you are following me on Instagram because I post a lot of #OOTD's and fun BTS stuff you'll love. XO

First and foremost I want to give a shoutout to my fellow college students, we did! We are officially on winter break (where's the confetti cannon emoji?) Enjoy your winter break--trust me we deserve it!

Today's blog post is one of my favorites because I am excited to share with you all my most important travel necessity...my Vera Bradley travel bag. I love to travel. I may not have traveled very far yet, but trust me it is on the list! I have gone on cruises, road-trips, trains...you name it, so you can say I am a pretty "experienced" traveler. I have never found a bag that has as many compartments, great quality, and cute all at the same time until I discovered my Vera Bradley travel bag. As you all know (and my friends and family will account for) I am a p̶i̶c̶k̶y̶ selective person, especially when it comes to how I travel. I am not a light-packer under any circumstances but my friends/family always give me a limit, so I end up shoving things in, but now I don't with my Vera Bradley bag--it fits everything and more neatly! I also love all the compartments it has--everything has a place in it.

The travel bags are also very comfy! My bag is versatile. I can carry it in three ways. The first way (not pictured) is by using the opening on the backside to slip onto my suitcase handle for easy traveling, the second one is by the handles which a sturdy so it is easy to carry even with a heavy load, and the third way is by the adjustable shoulder strap which makes lugging your bag through a crowded airport easier than ever! (I know can this bag get any better!?) One of the things I love not only about this Vera Bradley overall is their vibrant prints. The colors are just pop off the bag and really make a statement. There designs just bring a smile to your face! Not to mention, their bright prints make identifying your bag at baggage claim way easier! Which in itself is a blessing, since no one ever can find their bag in a timely manner at the baggage claim...we've all been there.

Vera Bradley is all about being a "girl's best friend" and they certainly are. Not to mention their travel-bags certainly make traveling more fun. Now, with the holidays coming up, and winter break just beginning, now is the time to get a travel-bag from Vera Bradley. Thanks for reading, I wish you merry and safe travels this holiday season! XO

 CARDS BY SIMPLY ASHLEY NICOLE

12/17/2015

It is almost Christmas time! My family has many Christmas time traditions, but the annual Christmas card is one of my absolute favorites. I love receiving and sharing Christmas cards with friends and family. I am always on the go and busy with everything that it is nice during the holidays to receive cards and images of all my loved ones to see how everyone is doing. It is the best way to keep in-touch with those who we may not be as close with as well. I love being able to see my long-distance cousins too and how much my family is growing/changing since I don't always get to see them.

Today on the blog I wanted to share with you a beautiful Christmas card designed by one of my all-time favorite stationary designers- Simply Ashley Nicole! On top of being such a sweet person, she is also an incredible designer. Oh, and she has a pretty cool name too (haha!) Ashley produces custom-made cards that will satisfy any of your holiday/event needs. From Christmas cards to birth announcements, Ashley does it all! One thing I can honestly say is that Ashley is very easy to work with. When it comes to this industry there are a lot of mass-production companies and small businesses (like Simply Ashley Nicole) that are not focused on adding the personal touch and just look at it like another card. That is why I loved working with Ashley! Ashley is focused on creating a creative, exciting card while at the same time adding your personal touch to it. Every card of hers is designed to meet the customer. Whether it is changing the colors or the message, Ashley is willing to make your card a one-of-a-kind and leave you 100% satisfied. I shared my card that she designed with me and my family above (isn't it beautiful?)

I recommend Ashley to everyone in search of a card. Whether the card be for a birth announcement, invitation, or a holiday card Simply Ashley Nicole is the way to go. It's simple: get personal cards, with great customer care, and 100% satisfaction....Just go Simply Ashley Nicole.

Well hello Tuesday! I am very excited to share today's blog post with you all. Today on the blog I am sharing an inside look at the Blogger Brunch that I attended this Sunday at Madewell in Merrick Park. I had an amazing morning sipping, eating, and of course, styling with my fellow fashion bloggers. Before I continue I want to give a quick shoutout to Paola/South Florida Bloggers for helping make this brunch lots of fun and a major success. While at the brunch, my fellow bloggers and I put together our own looks using the pieces found in Madewell. There are so many amazing pieces from clothes to shoes that it was hard to just create one outfit.

I am a new fan of Madewell (well actually I am a new MEGA fan). I love that Madewell has such simple, clean, and classic items. All of Madewell's items are created with love and quality. One of my favorite parts about Madewell is how comfy everything is. Their shirts are so soft and cozy--even the jean ones which as we all know is very rare. I loved every item I picked up or tried on. On top of having comfy, classic clothing, they also have an amazing line of shoes. From fringe sneakers to the cutest booties, any shoe you can dream of they have. Not to mention the shoes are excellent quality and comfortable. I also love the accessories from Madewell. They have retro sunnies and jewelry that you'll drool over (I'm especially obsessed with the necklace I styled). One of my favorite features? They monogram! You can get one of their amazing leather bags with your monogram (how great is that!?)

I deeply encourage you to follow me on the Madewell bandwagon (you surely won't regret it!) Below in 'SHOP THE POST', you can shop the look I styled as well as some other favorites of mine via Madewell. Have I sold you yet on Madewell? Make sure you shop the blog now for these Madewell items! If you visit the store in Merrick Park (it is beautiful!) make sure you tell them Ashley from It's a PAshion sent you! Thank you for stopping by the blog this morning and have an incredible Tuesday. XO

With the new year around the corner, I have been thinking about my goals and new year resolutions for 2016. One of the items on my list is to take the blog to a whole new level and make it the best it can be. My goal has always been to be a successful woman in life. Part of being a successful woman in the business force is to dress the part, which is why I am excited to share with you eShakti. I styled my look today very classy and business appropriate. For those of you unfamiliar with eShakti, it is women's clothing line tailored just for you!

eShakti creates beautiful pieces from dresses, jackets, and more--all to your measurements. Say goodbye to struggling to find clothing-pieces in your size! With eShakti all you do is choose your piece or pieces and enter your measurements. One of my favorite parts about eShakti is that their pieces are made of high-quality fabrics for great prices. Usually when you go to buy a tailored item, you end up paying ridiculous prices and usually the fabrics are not even to parr. With eShakti you get the best of all worlds: quality, price, and style!

I love my dress by eShakti, to say the least. It is comfortable and looks great on. I recently wore it to give a speech/presentation and can't even begin to tell you how much everyone loved it. They loved it even more when I told them the prices. It is a win-win! They have a great selection too. From work-looks to party pieces. With Christmas right around the corner, now is the perfect time to clean out your closet and get your measurements down so you can order your custom-piece! To learn more about eShakti visit them on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.

Ready to look at customization in a whole new way? Thank you for stopping by the blog on these rainy Tuesday. Have a great afternoon!! XO

Thanksgiving is only two days away! I am so excited to spend time with my family and dear friends. I am also in a great mood about this weather. Maybe now we Miami-people will finally experience just a little taste of fall on Thanksgiving. That is one thing I am very grateful for!

I found this amazing dress from Rachel Roy at Macy's and instantly fell in love. I love that this high-low dress is flattering and simple. Oh and did mention the dress has pockets!! I know it is a dress made in heaven. What I love most about my look is that you can dress it up or dress it down. I dressed it up for Thanksgiving so I popped on a pair of heels and lots of bling! If you are having a casual Thanksgiving just add some flats and a solid cuff.

The dress comes in tons of colors from orange to black. I chose the navy color because navy is one of my favorite colors and it is easy to pair accessories and shoes with. You can shop this dress below! Trust me, even if you don't wear it to Thanksgiving, you need this dress in your closet. It is a real winner!

I hope that my Thanksgiving outfit gives you some inspiration and I have sold you on this amazing number. I am grateful for all my amazing readers, I would not be where I am today without all of you and your constant support to me and It's a PAshion. I wish you all tons of love and endless blessings this Thanksgiving! XO

Happy Tuesday! I am so happy it is fall, but unfortunately Miami has not gotten the memo. Honestly, I do not know how much longer I can handle this heat. Ugh! Those of you who follow me on Instagram, know I am absolutely addicted to my ripped-jeans by Sneak Peek. Nothing is better than them. I love that ripped-jeans can be for during the summer or fall. Oh and the best part is they feel like sweats (that is how soft they are!)

I love combining neutrals. This pleated top was one of my fabulous finds at Marshalls. I am a major fan of pleats whether it be on a dress, shirt, or skirt. Pleats are always in season! Pairing this neutral blush-beige shirt with my ripped jeans was a must. To add a more "autumn-touch" I added this Steve by Steve Madden pointed flats and my latest splurge, my gray Rebecca Minkoff tote. I purchased this fabulous tote at Nordstrom Rack for a price that was irresistible. I am always in for a good deal!

I really love creating fall outfits by mixing neutrals with jeans. Adding a mix of light and dark neutrals is the best way to get an autumn look while living in Miami. As always, thank you for stopping by the blog and as usual, you can shop the post below.

Halloween Makeup with J Cosmo #2

Happy Monday! I just wanted to thank you all for your amazing responses to my last Halloween post with J Cosmo. I have gotten amazing feedback from you all on the post, so I am very excited to share this one. J Cosmo is such an incredible makeup artist and I still am mouth-dropped-amazed at her work.

For those of you who know me, you know I love the movie, "Wizard of Oz". One of my favorite characters is the scarecrow, so I really wanted to re-create the look. Even if you are not a "Wizard of Oz" fan, the scarecrow is still an amazing costume for anyone. Scarecrows are such a staple in autumn so what better way to be fall-tastic than to be an autumn-figure? I really do love this look and hope you all do too. Get my look as a "Chic Scarecrow" below.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today and for your interaction with me. Have a great week!
PS: What should I be for Halloween?

Step by Step Tutorial

1. Begin with a clean and moisturized face.

2. In order for your look to last, begin with your favorite primer. (We used Benefit, 'That Gal' Primer).

3. Now you are ready to apply your foundation. The best way to apply foundation is by using The Beauty Blender.

4. Time for the eyes! (We used Morphe Brushes, Koffee Eyeshadow Palette). After you have a neutral eye, add orange eye-shadow as well.

5. Next step for the eyes is to create a wing! The eye-liner wings is to be steady, make sure your wing is always sharp, and even on both eyes. Start from the outer corner of your eye and bring it toward the end of your brow. Tip: Use tape to create a clean line.

6. Begin to draw the angel-wing, bottom eyelashes (We used Black Radiance--available at Walgreen for only $2.99). Be very still, precise, and make them as large and dramatical or simple as you prefer.

7. When you are done with the eyes, it is time to finish off the face! Start by concealing under your eyes with your favorite concealer. (We used Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer).

8. Now to contour! Contour your face how YOU usually do, since you know your face the best (We used Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit in Light/Medium).

9. Let's make you a scarecrow officially! Take orange face-paint and make an orange triangle on your nose and fill it in (Similar face-paint to what we used is Snazaroo via Michael's).

10. To complete the nose take the black liquid-liner and make little lines around the triangle you created on your nose. Once again, make them as dramatic or simple as you prefer (We used Black Radiance).

11. With the same orange face-paint create two orange circles on each cheek. Then add any details or "stitches", if you want, to really highlight the cheek details.

10. Use your desired lip-liner and lipstick to set up your lips for the next step. Then extend your smile with black "stitches" using black liquid-liner.

Pinch me. No seriously, how is it already almost Halloween?? I cannot get over how fast this year is flying by. I am very excited to share with you all these makeup looks I created with makeup artist Jennifer aka J Cosmo. For those of you who don't know Jennifer, she is an amazing makeup artist and good friend of mine. On top of being a fabulous makeup artist she also has her own non-profit, #PinkLipsForBoobies, in honor of her mom who passed away from breast-cancer. As it is October, the month of breast-cancer awareness I wanted to bring attention to this cancer that 1 in 8 women in the United States will struggle with during her life. To donate click here.

Jennifer helped me create this "catty" look, that you can get too for Halloween. I love the idea of a cat for Halloween because it is a classic, simple, and very sassy! Want this look? J Cosmo and I have listed the steps, along with the products used below, so you can achieve this look this Halloween. There are still more DIY-Halloween looks to come, make sure you are subscribed to the blog and following J Cosmo and It's a PAshion on Instagram for more.

5. Next step for the eyes is to create a wing! The eye-liner wings is to be steady, make sure your wing is always sharp, and even on both eyes. Start from the outer corner of your eye and bring it toward the end of your brow. Tip: Use tape to create a clean line.

6. When you are done with the eyes, it is time to finish off the face! Start by concealing under your eyes with your favorite concealer. (We used Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer).

7. Now to contour! Contour your face how YOU usually do, since you know your face the best. (We used Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit in Light/Medium).

8. Start filling the bottom part of your nose down your cupisdes bow with a black liquid liner, as pictured. (We used Black Radiance--available at Walgreen for only $2.99).

9. Using the liquid liner again, draw three black-dots on the left side and right side of your upper lip.

10. Again, using the liquid liner, fill in the top of your lip. The whole top lip needs to be black with two thin lines coming out from each side, to give it more definition.

11. To complete this look, draw black whiskers, using the liquid liner for the final time, on both cheeks.

12. To tie the look together, add some cat ears (Similar to mine listed)

Ready for your school or university's homecoming events? I know I am ready to show some #PantherPride thanks to brappz. Brappz are fun, colorful rubber-bands paired beautifully designed hooks that will make any look of yours POP. Oh and did I mention there are plenty of ways to use brappz? You can wear brappz as jewelry (i.e. bracelets, necklaces), bra-straps, and shoe laces. The possibilities with brappz are endless!

As you all know, as a college student, I love finding products for a great price and multi-purpose. I can wear brappz so many various ways and mix-and-match hooks. I styled mine (above) for the FIU game, by sporting my school colors blue and gold. These bracelets not only show my school spirit, but they are also light, so they don't bother or weigh down my arm.

Shop my brappz below and share with me how you would style your brappz! I will be sharing more ways to wear/style brappz throughout the next few weeks so be sure to subscribe and follow me on Instagram (@ITSAPASHIONBLOG). Thank you for stopping by the blog on this #TGIF!

Nail Colors for Fall

9/18/2015

Picture
For those of you who have been keeping up with my recent posts, you know I am all about transitioning into fall. I am continuing my "fall transition" posts, but now I am taking it over to the beauty department. Nothing makes a woman feel better than a fresh coat of paint on her nails, well in my opinion. Like many, I too struggle choosing a color at the nail salon. There are so many options! Now that it is fall though, I am saying goodbye to my light colors and vibrant colors, and embracing darker shades.

Here are some of the nail polishes I am loving this season. Dark blues are definitely a must. One of my favorites of the darker blues, (not displayed here) is by Essie, "After School Boy Blazer". Another color that is always a fall-favorite is red. Whether it be a deep red, ruby red, shimmery red, almost any red nail-polish you use this fall will be killer choice. Another amazing choice for fall, metallics, specifically gold. If you want to make a bold statement with your nails this season, I definitely would "go for the gold". I have linked below some gold polishes that are beautiful and not tacky.

What fall colors will you be painting on your nails this season? Share with me below in the comments. As always, thank you for reading.

Miami Culinary Tour: Wynwood

9/6/2015

Warning: Do not read this post if you are hungry. This labor day weekend, I decided to go on a food-adventure with Miami Culinary Tours. There is nothing I love more than experiencing culture and learning new things, which is exactly what Miami Culinary Tours provides with a whole lot of food. For those unfamiliar with Miami Culinary Tours, they are a company that specialize in giving entertaining, quality food/culture tours in Miami's hottest locations (Wynwood, Little Havana, etc.). It is basically like taking a bite (literally) into the amazing mix of cultures Miami provides. I went on the Wynwood Food and Art Tour.

Stop One: Wynwood Kitchen and Bar
Location: 2550 Northwest 2nd Avenue
Taste: Wynwood Brewery Beer, Maduros, Tequeno filled with cheese, & Chicken Empanada

The first stop on the Wynwood food tour, proved that this was going to be a great experience. We were sat in a spacious room with tons of well-known artist's works hanging before us. The food was out of this world. It made my proud to be hispanic! Wynwood Kitchen and Bar knows how to make classic items with a punch of flavor. For anyone visiting the Wynwood Walls this eatery is right on the property so make sure to pop in and savor the flavors.

Stop Two: R House / White Porch Gallery
Location: 2727 Northwest 2nd Avenue
Taste: Short Rib Sliders and Tuna Tartar

On our second round of tastings, we headed over to R House, a Wynwood restaurant, bar, and gallery. This is definitely a chic place to dine and enjoy the arts. My absolute favorite bite from this stop was the Short Rib Slider. This is the place to go if you love short rib!! R House marinates the short rib for 24 hours in a mix of coffee and chipotle (interesting combo, right?) what it results in though is one meal you won't be able to put down. Also, take a look at the amazing can-inspired art pieces on the walls.

Stop Three: Jimmy Z's Kitchen
Location: 2700 North Miami Avenue
Taste: Mofongo

For those of you who have not heard of Jimmy Z's, you are in for a real treat. Jimmy, the chef/owner, is actually American (shocker because he owns a Puerto Rican restaurant). He grew up in Puerto Rico, and grew a love for their food and that is how Jimmy Z's came to be. This was my first time trying mofongo, and let me be the first to tell you, it was out of this world. It was delicious! I plan on heading back and eating more of that delicious plate.

Stop Four: Made in Italy
Location: 10 Northeast 27th Street
Taste: Prosecco (via Italy)

Step into a little piece of Italy, literally. Made in Italy is the perfect spot for a date, a GNO, or just having a little me-time. Made in Italy prides itself in only serving items from Italy (they do not even sell Coca-Cola!). Another great part about this place, other than the amazing atmosphere and market/bar, is that if your purchase a bottle there is no corkage fee. This place is definitely one that anyone will love from one bite or sip.

Stop Five: SuViche
Location: 2751 North Miami Avenue
Taste: Ceviche

This is one bite for real Miami natives. As you know, Miami is all about boating, fishing, and making the perfect ceviche. Although, I am not a fish person, the people around me seemed to indulge into this sea dish. This place is amazing and has a beautiful indoor and outdoor environment, not to mention a fully stacked bar, for those who are looking to have a drink.
Picture
Stop Six: Fireman Derek's Bake Shop
Location: 2818 North Miami Avenue
Taste: Pie

The last stop on my food tour, was definitely my favorite. For those of you who love something sweet, you are in for a real treat. Fireman Derek's Bake Shop is a stop you need to make in Wynwood. The pies are out of this world delicious and filled with amazing ingredients. Not to mention, everyone in the shop is incredibly sweet (just like their pies!). Not to mention, even foodie Paula Deen visited the bake shop recently! Wow. Make sure you also check out local-artist, Rey Jaffet's, amazing work done on their shop. My two favorites: Oreo and Salted Caramel Popcorn. My family members, who love Key Lime, recommend the best-known pie via Fireman Derek's: key lime pie, which is made with cream and Mexican key limes. This place is a "slice" of happiness.

Blow N Dry: Back to School Fashion Show

8/13/2015

Picture
It's time to roll up the beach towels, box up the bikinis, and set your alarm clocks to a time way earlier than, dare I say, 12:00 o'clock in the afternoon. It is back to school! Even though me being the Miami girl I am wishes I could spend my days sleeping-in, shopping/lunching, and tanning by the pool, it is time to return to reality.

Today, I hosted the Back to School Fashion Show held by Blow N Dry Salon. As I spoke on the mic, for the very first time as a blogger, I realized that just because summer is over doesn't mean it means back to a "dull reality". I had lots of fun hosting, showing off new back to school trends as well as hairstyles created by the amazing hairstylists over at Blow N Dry

The event was a lot of fun. I got to taste some delicious cupcakes and see both little girls and juniors rule the runway. The girls modeled their school uniforms and clothing from Joy Boutique. Some of the little girls wore jewelry created by TAudrey in her Lil Miss Miami collection. Love it! I was so happy to be a part of this incredible event and I can't wait for this to be a yearly thing. Thanks to Jackie and the girls over at Blow N Dry for letting me host the fashion show and for putting on a terrific event.

So who knows where I'll be hosting next, this Miami blogger is up for whatever comes next. Watch out Miami, Ash is here to stay!

#NSale My Top Picks 2015

7/13/2015

It is the most wonderful time of the year! It is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, also known as the shop-a-holics dream come true. For those of you who know me, you know that Nordstrom is like my second home. I just love everything about Nordstrom and their selections (plus, the silver bags capture my heart).

I was raised by a fashionable group of hunters. Sale hunters. The great women in my family have taught me to be a smart shopper and look for the greatest deals and steals. So the second is see a "sale" sign in a window, I am instantly drawn in. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is an awesome way to stock up on the higher-end scale of your wish-list, without hurting your wallet (too much!)

I went through the preview to the sale and chose these items. The Anniversary Sale officially opens on Thursday, July 16th, and picked some of the top contenders. I love Nordstrom and cannot wait for the sale. Hope you all enjoyed my picks and share with me in the comments section below what you think or what you buy. Happy Shopping!
