Whenever I share Eric on the blog, a lot of DMs come in asking me how we met and date night ideas. So long-story-short, we were casually dating other people and were on a double-date when we met. We were friends at first but once we were both not dating other people, Eric asked me on a date (I may of said no at first) but just a few days later I said yes. So the answer is yes I have always been stubborn and a pain. It has been 2 years since of lots of love, good food, fun travels, and tons of Disney trips. I mean hey, they call it the happiest *and most expensive* place on earth for a reason, right?? Eric and I are very similar personalities so we clicked from the start. We are both very sarcastic, are super annoying (LOL), and love to spend money (especially at Walt Disney World). I have gotten DMs and questions from friends asking the best way to find love or get a solid boyfriend and to be honest I don't have the answer, because there is no guide to how to find love 101. My best advice is to have an open mind, love yourself first, and to not focus on "wanting companionship", instead focus on YOU and the right person will come. So I thought in honor of our two years together I'd share some of our favorite dates, activities, and adventures with you all. I hope some of our favorite dates inspire you all for fun dates after COVID-19. Share your favorite dates in the comments below. As always, thank you for reading and stay safe!
This post is coming to you a little over a month late, but it is still relevant so here we go! I turned 23 on May 8th and I have this weird feeling from it--I don't feel old but I also don't feel young. This is just such a weird age, haha! Whenever my birthday rolls around I really try to sit and reflect on my life and where I see myself in the next year. I like to set new goals and this year I even started a "mood board" in my Vision Journal from Erin Condren. It helps me to calm any anxieties I have about being a year older and helps me set achievable goals for myself.
I also like to reflect on all the positives in my life and what I have to be grateful for. I think especially with where the world is at today, it is very easy to get anxious and have negative thoughts. Like I shared with you all in a previous post, quarantine has been rough on me since I am diagnosed with anxiety. I find myself with a lot more time on my hands aka more time to over think. But that lent itself to be a new goal for me! I wanted to curve my anxiety by every morning when I wake up doing a morning routine which includes journaling now and noting three things I am extra grateful for. I am going to go into this in more detail in an upcoming blog post. 22 was an amazing year for me. I advanced in my career and gained incredible job experience. I relaunched it's a pashion and have reawakened my love for writing. I have made major improvements with my anxiety. I achieved a healthy A1C (type one diabetes goals, haha!) Eric and I celebrated our one year anniversary together. I shared lots of fun times together with Eric and my family. Eric and I took multiple trips including: Disney World (duh!), Saint Augustine to visit my cousins, Lake Como, Italy where we celebrated the new year, Captiva with my family, and Universal + Islands of Adventure. There are so many others I am grateful for but these were some of the highlights! I can't wait to see what 23 has in store for me and I can't wait to share it all with you! Stay happy my readers! What girl doesn't love curls? While we all love to throw our hair in curls, we all are not fans of the long time (sometimes hours!) and the long-term damage it has on our hair. So ladies, put the hot tools aside and get ready for this little hack that will give your hair a salon-quality look without the hassle.
Step One - Wash your hair girl! Shampoo twice, condition once. Make sure your hair is clean and shiny. Step Two - Once you emerge from your relaxing shower, towel-dry your hair. Step Three - Apply a deep conditioner to your hair. These are two I have been using lately, (click here & here). Step Four - Part your hair down the middle and into two braids, try to make them tight as possible. Step Five - Sleep on it. Once you wake up, have some breakfast and about your morning routine. It is key to keep your braids in as long as you can if you want your curls to hold and to be full of volume. And voila! If you try this at home, share it with me! Post your photos online and tag me @itsapashion! It is a quick and easy way to get a salon-quality hairstyle, with no heat damage. Ready to curl girl? SHOP THE POST |
